What does Outpost Leadership look like?

Each Cell is composed of a triad of ‘Ministry Leaders,’ preferably with all five gifts from the APEST represented between the strengths of all leaders. Ministry Leaders exist to facilitate growth and conversation in weekly worship, but are not legally considered ordained ministers or pastors. Each cell is run independently as it comes to style of worship, conversation, and weekly rhythm.

Each cell is under the organizational authority of The Outpost Church as it comes to doctrine, the vision frame, organization, funding, and structure. Each cell falls under the frame of interdenominational; meaning it is expected there will be Christians of several different denominations.

It is encouraged for the weekly meetings to center around a meal, but not required. As it comes to expenses, any materials the cell cannot provide can be requested from The Outpost Church’s funds and will be distributed as the budget allows.

In order to start a house church cell (outpost) through The Outpost Church, you must acknowledge the core ecumenical doctrine (listed on the website), establish a core team in accordance with the triad of leaders, and commit to coming under the doctrinal and financial authority of the church.
